New market analysis for UK based healthcare services provider

The Problem: UK based healthcare services provider seeking to enter new markets

Our client, a PE backed mobile surgical services provider, had developed a market-leading UK business, but required expansion into new geographies to maintain its EBITDA growth. It therefore asked Credo to support an assessment of potential new geographies, matching key healthcare dynamics to the client propositions, and assessing the most attractive markets for potential entry.

Our Approach: Analysed key healthcare metrics to identify attractive markets

We initially worked with Senior Management to create a long-list of potential countries for expansion, and to discuss key metrics that would indicate the respective attractiveness of each market, matched to the client's proposition and performance objectives.

Credo then collated a large amount of macro and healthcare specific data, to identify overall demand patterns, Government payment mechanisms, current and future supply constraints and the shift in emphasis on day case surgery.

This allowed Credo to create a shortlist of prima facie attractive new geographies, which the client could then test for the suitability of a market entry.

The Result: Successful market entry into three new markets

The client has successfully entered three new countries identified as attractive markets by Credo, securing key contracts with public healthcare organisations.
