Due diligence support for a health and social care services provider

The Problem: Due diligence support for a Leading Health and Social Care services provider's acquisition of mental health specialist

As a result of previous analysis and strategic support from Credo, the client, a large PE-backed health and social care services provider, had identified developing its provision of specialist mental health services as a key strategic objective. As part of this development, it had identified a potential acquisition target within the London region, but required Commercial Due Diligence support to understand the key market dynamics that the target was operating in.

Our Approach: Intensive market analysis, matched to the key propositions of the target

The future prospects of the target were heavily dependent on its future utilisation of its residential care units.

Credo therefore developed a strong understanding of the current and future demand drivers, understanding likely growth in local volumes, and also analysed the target's capabilities of attracting referrals from outside of its core regions. This demand was then analysed against the supply-base within the region, with considerations made to potential additions to the market, through extensive research within the local healthcare community.

Credo also interviewed leading clinicians, as well as key local commissioners.

The Result: Successful acquisition which has hit its performance objectives

The client has successfully entered three new countries identified as attractive markets by Credo, securing key contracts with public healthcare organisations.
