Public healthcare services are facing unprecedented demand and budget pressures. Policy makers, regulators, commissioners and providers are all grappling with how to improve patient outcomes with the resources available; this is no easy task, but a number of new models of care are emerging that could help secure the sustainability of the NHS. Private healthcare providers must develop value for money solutions and patient focused solution to support this transition, for their public and private customers.  Credo works for both the public and private providers or health care, providing a mix of strategic, transaction, organisational design and performance improvement advice, helping stakeholders across the sector respond to their key challenges.

We provide a mix of strategic, transaction, organisational design and performance improvement advisory across a large number of sub-sectors, including:

  • ŸPrimary Care
  • ŸSecondary (Acute Hospital) Care
  • ŸDiagnostics
  • ŸHealth Consumer (e.g. IVF, Cosmetics)
  • ŸMental Health
  • ŸCommunity Care
  • ŸResidential and Domiciliary Care
  • ŸDomiciliary Care
  • ŸFitness and Wellbeing
  • ŸSpecial Education and Fostering

Our work in the NHS covers a range of strategy, performance improvement and organisational design capabilities. We work with leading NHS Trusts and STPs in the development of a future vision for the delivery of care, and outlining and supporting the steps to deliver this vision. In particular, we have supported a large number of Foundation and Acute Trusts in developing a spectrum of collaboration models, from M&A through to loose affiliations, whole Trust solutions to specific networked speciality opportunities. You can read more about our thoughts on the development of Group models here.

We support our private sector clients on growth strategies, spanning service and geographic expansion, customer propositions development, and pricing strategy. We also provide M&A support including target identification, commercial due diligences and operational efficiency improvement programmes, including cost reduction, business model reviews and organisational structure analysis.

Our work with public and private sector providers across the breadth of this sector means we have a strong understanding of the key trends within each of these markets, both within the UK and abroad (Europe, Middle East, US) , and have a wealth of experience of international models and best practice. We can identify and prioritise the key drivers of performance, and have a strong view on how organisations should be positioned going forward.
